A 5 day in-person immersive training led by Pilar Chandler, Master Massage Therapist, Women’s Health Specialist and Board Certified Doctor of Ayurveda.

The Postpartum-specific Abhyanga is a unique treatment, offering deep healing & restoration for the newborn mother. Healing oils, Marma points, & applied warmth help the body relax & restore in a uniquely effective way.

The oils used are a healing component unto themselves. With herbs & oils blended to nourish the skin & nervous system, helping Mom rest & feel grounded. We’ll also cover which Ayurvedic oils to use & why.

Marma points used in the therapy bring an even deeper aspect to the treatment, connecting & effecting the physical, emotional & spiritual parts of the body.

The rhythmic pace & gentle nature of the treatment creates a healing & restorative environment for Mom so that her system can regulate to the massive changes during pregnancy & postpartum. It can help with improved digestion, blood building & support her hormonal balance.

For 1000’s of years Ayurveda has had a tradition of caring deeply for their mothers & children. Learning this therapy can will deepen your skills to support the new mothers in your life.

Each day you’ll learn hands on skills & practice offering & receiving with other students in the course. You’ll have plenty of hours to practice & refine your skills under the guidance of Pilar.
