Pilar’s unique approach to maternity care really stands out from other providers and practitioners. She uses her skills as:
Doctor of Ayurveda (body/mind/spirit coaching, nutritional support, herbal healing).
Master Massage Therapist (tuning in to patterns held in the body and releasing, developed multiple forms of massage including techniques in prenatal, abdominal & postpartum therapies).
Healer with almost 30 years of clinical practice and experience helping people find balance. She brings all of this to each of her clients.
Natural birth and holistic prenatal caregiver (since 2011).
Full Spectrum Doula (birth, abortion, miscarriage) and Postpartum Doula.
A Mother and Practitioner (thoughtful listening and caring).
Ordained Priestess (witnessing and holding sacred space).
A Wise Woman, her knowledge of the body and its magical transition through the childbearing year is vast and deep.
Each visit includes a check-in; a time to ask any questions you may have about your health or your birth, prenatal massage (tailored to your specific stage of gestation) and any herbal or other recommendations.
Pilar’s clients see great results in physical health, vaginal birth, (physiological or medicated), postpartum recovery, breast feeding and infant bonding.
Pilar’s maternity care is centered around each individual mama and their needs. She focuses on empowering each woman to make the best decisions for the birth they want. She helps women and their partners prepare for postpartum in an informed way.

Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal yoga is a great physical, mental, and emotional support method that supports the overall health and wellbeing of any mother-to-be in one of the most precious times of their life! Practicing yoga during pregnancy is not only a great form of exercise and movement, but may also help relieve certain aches and pains associated with pregnancy, improve one’s quality of sleep, reduce anxiety and stress, and help women prepare for labor by strengthening muscles and increasing their endurance. As well, pregnant women may be able to find community amongst other expecting moms in the class.
Our prenatal yoga classes are taught by Devyn, who is a Birth and Postpartum Doula, and a certified yoga instructor. Devyn’s style of teaching is light, smooth, and tailored to meet everyone where they are in each moment. Her prenatal classes encompass a variety of yogic backgrounds, including Hatha, Yin, and Yoga Nidra. She helps women feel at ease during class as she offers a variety of modifications to either ease or advance anyone’s practice in a safe manner.
We will be starting a 5 week series of prenatal yoga classes, starting on Feb 5th. Classes will be held on Saturdays from 11am-12pm, and are limited to 8 participants.
